ELETRIQ CAFÉ - about
us
The Eletriq café
in Eltham is light and airy. It gives a bright
twist to Italian food.
Specialising in Italian style pasta, pizzas
& salads it also features wines from around
the world.
It
is housed in a superb thirties building that
was the former London Electricity showroom.
The restaurant is independently owned and
operated and opened in 1997. The owners, Alonso
Vela Castro and Ed Kidney bring more than
25 years experience to this restaurant.
The famous Italian restaurant designer, Enzo
Apicella, refurbished the entire building.
An exciting painting by the designer entitled
Let there be Light commands a
central point and a stained glass window on
the upper floor, specially commissioned by
the owners, commemorates the building's origins.

Not surprisingly, therefore, the Eletriq Café
has become a favourte meeting place for the
locals. Food and drink are served all day
and friends meet for coffee, a snack, a drink
or a full meal at this hospitable venue. The
piped music is usually cool Jazz or there
is regular live piano in the evening.
The restaurant has a pub licence so you are
welcome to come and listen to the music over
a drink. The restaurant seats a hundred downstairs
and has a further 40 seats in a private upstairs
room that can be booked for parties.
The
restaurant is air-conditioned and entriely
non-smoking
Wheelchair access. Children are welcome.
